CREATING IMPACT FROM THE OUTSIDE
Started in 2016, Tonic Consulting Group was created by founding partner Bill Boris-Schacter (aka "BBS"), to offer uniquely informed consulting services to the event marketing industry. Having worked with many consultants, BBS experienced firsthand the huge learning curve necessary before any consultant from outside of live events delivered valuable advice. BBS wanted to change that by sharing his insider knowledge and experience. In 2019, BBS was joined by former colleague and friend, Bill Bunkers, who also brings decades of live event agency leadership experience. Together we’re the Outsiders who can immediately add value Inside your agency. And we've even made it easy for you to remember our first names!

BILL BORIS-SCHACTER
Founding Partner
BBS is an excellent client partner, with hands-on knowledge and quick insights. His experience ranges from growing an office of 7 to 125, turning around an operation in Sydney, managing a challenging client in Beijing, and being the executive team member and global leader for client operations at one of the world’s premier event marketing agencies. Oh, and he graduated cum laude from The New England School of Law (of course, producing events is far more appealing than practicing law).
He listens acutely, responds with honesty and clarity and implements recommendations with energy and compassion. His passion is implementing processes that lead to better business decisions informed by key business and financial insights, resulting in healthy, growing organizations and increased margins.
BILL BUNKERS
Partner
Bill is proud to have been called “the ‘real deal’ friggin’ Swiss Army Knife” thanks to an agency career that saw him in nearly every area of leadership: project management, operations, P&L, business development and talent. He was the Managing Director for three agencies, building teams and expertise that led to significant growth.
He's the calm in the storm, helping impassioned colleagues work through the day's fires. He listens and guides instead of "tells." He believes a great culture is required to maximize an agency's potential, and culture is more than a Zoom Happy Hour or a DoorDash coffee. Fun is important but being a place that removes obstacles from getting the work done is paramount, and he'll be happy to bend your ear on this (maybe while you're on Zoom enjoying a glass of wine).
